NOTICE OF ELECTION - Parish Council Elections
25th March 2019

Elections for the nine places on the Parish Council are due on 2nd May this year.

Nomination papers (application forms) are now available from Rother District Council or the Parish Office. Fully completed forms and all required information must be delivered by hand to the Town Hall, Bexhill by 4pm on Wednesday 4th April. (Candidates are encouraged to make an appointment, for informal checks to ensure errors or omissions do not prevent them being accepted - 01424 787826.)

See the Notice of Election here.

All nine seats are up for election. If we only receive nine or less nominations, all of them will be 'elected unopposed' without the need for voting on 2nd May. But if there are more than nine, you will be able to vote for the people you want to become your Parish Councillors.

Why not consider standing for the Parish Council?

Are you interested in your local area? Are you passionate about services provided in your community? Do you want to contribute your business or personal skills /expertise? Do you want to represent the views of local people?

Become a Councillor - several current Councillors will not be seeking re-election, so now is your opportunity - find out more here, or speak to some of the current Councillors or the Parish Office - but hurry - you only have until 4pm on Wednesday 3rd April to get your properly completed forms in.

Details of the timetable and key dates for both the Parish Council and District Council Elections can be found on the Rother District Council website.

We look forward to welcoming some new faces to the Council in May.

Make sure you are registered to vote - the deadline to register is 12th April.
