Dear Residents of Salehurst and Robertsbridge, and surrounding villages
We warmly invite you and your family and friends to join Robertsbridge 800 to celebrate 800 years of the wonderful village of Robertsbridge and all it has to offer to residents and visitors alike!
This Parish Council event is taking place on Saturday 21st June 12 noon until late at Robertsbridge Recreation Ground. It has been organised by a wonderful team of volunteers, expertly led by Parish Councillor Simon Longhurst.
The start of the celebrations is signalled at 11:30am by the bell ringers of St. Mary's ringing 800 times, one for each year. We are organising a free fun filled afternoon, an opportunity to come together and celebrate our community. A huge thank you to all our generous sponsors without whom the event would not have been possible.
No ticket is required, just come along, with your friends and family, dress up if you wish in historical costume from any time during the last 800 years. Let's make some wonderful memories! There will be opportunity to buy food and drink from stallholders.
We encourage you to walk to the Recreation Ground (there is no dedicated parking). A minibus service will also be available within the village.
We look forward to seeing you all at Robertsbridge 800!
